BrisCast is a radio documentary series developed by Kate Walton, a long term devotee of Brisbane music and former 4ZZZ FM announcer who believes in an ideal world people should see live music three times a week.  You might of heard her during her time on 4ZzZ FM from 2006 – 2009 on her program ‘The List’. Here, she interviewed many of Brisbane’s finest with regular live performances.  Currently, she is having a love affair with a portable Marantz solid state recorder so she can bring you BrisCast.

Kate will be producing a series of radio documentaries focusing on diverse Brisbane bands and you will be able to hear it all here.

In the first podcast, Phil Usher lead singer and songwriter of Grand Atlantic gives us a guided tour of the space he affectionately calls ‘De Facto Studios’.  It is in this small room that he has written most of the songs for the band’s last two albums.  Here he discusses the space and the objects that inspires and nurtures his song writing process.
